David Roberts a township planner who brought the Veterans Administration Clinic to Toms River has retired. During a recent Township Council Meeting, Mayor Mo Hill heaped words of praise and gratitude upon Roberts who has been working with the township since 1916. The VA took years to find an adequate location for their services, and with Roberts ‘s involvement settled in Toms River
The township planner began his career in 1981 and said he enjoyed working with the people of Toms River. He recognized their qualities of dedication, talent , and professionalism. He publicly thanked former mayor of Toms River Mayor, Thomas Kelaher, for hiring him, and the current Mayor, Mo Hill, for keeping him on. Roberts will be replaced by the assistant township planner, Robert Hudak, who was the previous Mayor of Manchester Township.
