Toms River Regional School District has received $1.1 million which will go towards maintenance work of the turf fields at the Walnut Street, West Dover and East Dover elementary schools. The money was received under the federal American Rescue Plan. These three fields are used daily not only by the school district, but by local community members as well.
It is hoped that the refurbishments of the fields will be completed by the summer, or at the latest, by the time the leagues begin.
