Law enforcement officials from all over Ocean County will be gathering this coming Friday to discuss law enforcement procedures. Community members are encouraged to attend this town hall event as well. The meeting comes on the heels of the death of Tyre Nichols, who passed away after being beaten by police officers in Memphis Tennessee. The officers involved are being charged with second degree murder. The tragic incident sparked dialogue around the country regarding law enforcement and procedures.
The upcoming community meeting will take place in the Gateway Lecture Hall in the Gateway Lecture Hall of Ocean County College. The event is scheduled to start at 10 AM. Community members are urged to attend and participate in the discussion.
