Toms River police are urging the public to lock their vehicles due to an increase in motor vehicle break-ins and thefts. In a post on their Facebook page, the Toms River Police Department reported 28 investigations of motor vehicle thefts and over 120 motor vehicle burglaries, this year to date. As criminals know how to identify easy targets, the post urges Toms River residents not to become victims of preventable crimes.
