Save Barnegat Bay, founded in 1971 with the mission to restore and protect Barnegat Bay, is hosting a community meeting on the proposed Ciba-Geigy settlement. In an exclusive interview with Mayor Mo Hill, the Mayor told Achdusnews.com of the urgency to inform all Toms River residents to attend the Community Speak Out, and make their voices heard.
“This matter is of great importance, it effects Toms River financially, and it is a great injustice that the ones who were effected the most, are being cut out of the conversation” the Mayor said.
The Community Speak Out is scheduled to take place on January 25th. The meeting will begin at 4 pm and the speak out is scheduled for 6pm, in the auditorium at Toms River High School North, on Old Freehold Road. At the Speak Out, residents will have the chance to come forward and make their voices heard.
For those that prefer, you can submit a written argument against the proposal and give it in at the meeting. All written and verbal arguments will be submitted in protest of the current proposal, to NJDEP, as part of its comment on the settlement.
