Toms River Mayor Mo Hill issued the following statement regarding the NYPD Alert regarding the National Day of Hate:
“My office has been in touch with Ocean County Sheriff Michael Mastronardy and the Toms River Police Department. Sheriff Mastronardy said he has been in touch with NYPD and he does not believe there is an imminent threat in our area. Both the Toms River Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office are increasing their patrols in an effort to keep our residents safe from violence and the destruction of property.”
