Jena LeRiche was a beloved wife, mother, and special needs teacher who passed away on January 10th, 2023.
She has left a deep impact on her students, as well as being a well-respected member of the Toms River Regional staff.
At a recent Toms River Board of Education meeting, Mayor Mo Hill and Police Chief Mitch Little presented LeRiche’s family over $3,400, which was raised by Township employees and officers.
Superintendent Michael Citta said that Jena was known for her selflessness and how she thought of everyone else before she thought of herself. She was incredibly kind, never complained, and challenged her students in a way that raised their self-esteem.
After the news of her passing broke, a GoFundMe page was set up for the education of her children: Ellis, age 5, Easton, age 2, and Emberlynn, age 6 months. Currently, the page has over $26,000 in donations. If you would like to donate, visit gofundme.com/f/jena-leiche.
