Dr. Weiss earned his PhD from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, and did post-doctoral training at the National Institute of Health and Columbia University. He currently is a professor emeritus in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at Drexel University College of Medicine. An internationally recognized neuroscientist and invited speaker at major universities and research academies throughout the world, Dr. Weiss has held a rich and varied scientific career during which he has received several prestigious honors and awards, edited two books, and published over 300 scientific articles on his studies on molecular biology and molecular pharmacology.
