Team Toms River completed its second annual Bike4Chai ride last week, raising more than $300,000 for Chai Lifeline while growing to 25 riders.
The team brought together cyclists of all ages and experience levels. Riders had the option of completing the full two-day ride or choosing shorter routes, with support vehicles and alternate route options available throughout the event.
Participants rode approximately 100 miles on the first day through the Pocono Mountains, followed by an 80-mile ride on the second day from Kalahari Resort to Camp Simcha. Riders were welcomed to Camp Simcha with music and dancing as they completed the ride.
In a statement to Achdus News, Team Captain Yitz Henkin said, “Team Toms River is about so much more than cycling. It’s a community built on unity, friendship, and supporting one another. Whether someone is an experienced rider, pushing for a personal best, or getting on a bike for the very first time, everyone has a place on our team.
What makes this team special isn’t how fast we ride; it’s that we ride with purpose. Every mile represents our commitment to the incredible children and families of Chai Lifeline, and that shared mission brings together people from all backgrounds and every level of competitiveness.
It’s truly an honor to serve as captain of Team Toms River. Watching our members encourage one another, celebrate each other’s accomplishments, and rally around such a meaningful cause is incredibly inspiring. Together, we’re not just raising money—we’re building friendships, strengthening our community, and making a real difference in the lives of children who need it most.”
Bike4Chai teams collectively raised $13 million this year in support of Chai Lifeline.
