The New Jersey man charged with threatening to attack synagogues has been arrested and charged. 18 year old Omar Alkattoul of Sayreville is charged with a count of threats in interstate and foreign commerce. He was scheduled to appear Thursday afternoon before U.S. Magistrate judge Jessica S. Allen in federal court.
Alkattoul is a senior at Sayreville War Memorial High School. If convicted Alkattoul could face 5 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
