New Medical Service Building Coming to Toms River

Community Medical Center and Children’s Specialized Hospital have collaborated and begun initial work on building a new medical service building that will provide outpatient health care for both adults and children. The 86,000 square foot building is currently being built  on N. St. Catherine Blvd. right off Rt. 87 in Toms River. It is to be located near the Orchards at Dover Mall and set to be ready for use in 2023.

Some of the adult services to be provided include imaging,ambulatory surgery , and both occupational and physical therapy. RWJ  Barnabas Health Medical group physicians will also have many  offices located within. Pediatric services will include specialized care for children from ages birth -21  who have special health care challenges. Those with chronic illness or complex physical disabilities such as brain or spinal cord injuries will be seen and treated at this new location.

The groundbreaking ceremony included many town  officials as well as RWJ Barnabas the parent organization of both Community Medical Center and Children’s Specialized Hospital.Tom and Jackie Frazier who are the co chairmen of the event were among those in attendance as well.
