After campaiging with a strong stance against deveolpments, Mayor Rodrick is wasting no time acting on his promises.
The development in question is hi-rise apartments being built on the waterfront by West Water Street by Capodagli Property Co., and has been a controversial subject since it’s conception. While the previous Mayor Maurice Hill and council have mainly supported the project, Mayor Rodrick and the current council with a 5-2 majority are staunchly against.
Mayor Rodrick has proceeded to hire lawyer Louis N. Rainone from the prostigious law firm of Rainone Coughlin & Minchello to defend the township from the developers.
The Mayor has suggested building a waterfront bar and restaurant in it’s place, and has mentioned the possibility of sprinkler parks and Jet ski pads.
