Members of the Toms River community are invited to participate in a special Tefillin Adjustment Project taking place this morning at Yeshiva Nesiv HaTorah under the guidance of Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Chaim Aaron. The project will continue until 10:15 a.m. and is open to the broader community.
The initiative provides an opportunity for men and boys to have their tefillin checked and properly adjusted to ensure they are being worn in accordance with halachic guidelines. While many people assume their tefillin are positioned correctly, even small shifts over time can result in them no longer being placed in the ideal location.
Rabbi Chaim Aaron emphasized the importance of the project, noting that tefillin is one of the most frequently performed mitzvos in a Jewish man’s life.
“Most people put on tefillin approximately 300 times a year,” Rabbi Aaron said. “When a mitzvah is performed that often, it is worthwhile to periodically make sure everything is being done correctly. Small adjustments can make a significant difference. Since tefillin accompanies us day after day throughout our lives, ensuring that it is properly positioned is extremely important.”
Community members are encouraged to stop by Yeshiva Nesiv HaTorah before 10:15 a.m. to take advantage of this valuable opportunity.
