As families across the area prepare for summer travel, Chavivim of Ocean County is once again hosting its annual Pre-Summer Safety Event, giving community members an opportunity to make sure their vehicles are ready for the road before vacation season begins.
The event will take place on Sunday, June 28, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and is open to the entire community. Chavivim volunteers will be conducting free vehicle inspections, including checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and other basic safety items to help ensure that cars are prepared for the busy travel season ahead.
According to Zisha, chief coordinator with Chavivim of Ocean County, while Chavivim is available throughout the year to assist motorists in need, the goal of this annual event is to help families avoid problems before they happen. “Many families will be traveling to camps, the Catskills, and other vacation destinations over the summer,” he explained. “This is an opportunity to make sure everything is in working order before getting on the road.”
The event will also feature several attractions and services for families. The Ocean County Sheriff’s Office will be on hand to provide free Child ID cards, a valuable resource in emergency situations. Certified technicians will also be available to perform child car seat inspections, helping parents ensure that seats are properly installed and safe.
In addition to the safety services, attendees can enjoy hot dogs, ices, giveaways, and raffles, making it a fun outing for the entire family.
Organizers encourage residents to stop by, bring their families, and take advantage of the free inspections and resources available. With summer travel season around the corner, the event offers a convenient way to gain peace of mind before heading out on the road.
The Chavivim of Ocean County Pre-Summer Safety Event will take place on Sunday, June 28, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Westwood Center parking lot. All community members are welcome to attend.
