The Toms River planning board approved plans to build two, 10 story apartment towers. The project, which is expected to take between 18 to 24 months to build and cost $68 million, will include 285 apartments with a pool and green space between the towers, a two-level riverfront boardwalk, and 16,000-square-feet of retail space which will include a restaurant, coffee shop, and “doggie day care”. The towers will be located at the site of the former Red Carpet Inn.
Monthly rent will range from $1,275 for a studio to $1,600 for a one-bedroom, $1,850 for a two-bedroom and $1,950 for the three-bedroom unit, while monthly rents for the affordable units will range from $1,125 for two-bedroom apartments to $1,325 for three-bedroom apartments.
