In this edition of Achdus Magazine, we speak with Adina Mintz, PA-C, a Physician Assistant with nearly two decades of medical experience. PA Mintz grew up in Lakewood and began pursuing her career in medicine at a young age. After years of working in urgent care and other areas of conventional medicine, she began exploring a different approach to health known as Functional Medicine, which focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness rather than simply managing symptoms.
In the following article, PA Mintz shares with the Toms River community what Functional Medicine is, how it differs from conventional medical care, and why more patients are turning to this approach when dealing with chronic health challenges. She also discusses issues especially relevant to our community, including Lyme disease, women’s health, and the growing importance of preventive care.
