This Week’s Edition of Achdus Magazine… Achdus Speaks with the Admor of Liska Ahead of His Upcoming Visit to Toms River

September 17, 2025 12:11 pm

This week, Achdus Magazine speaks with Rav Tzvi Hersh Friedlander shlita, the Admor of Liska, whose humble presence carries generations of greatness. A direct descendant of the illustrious Liska dynasty—beginning with his great-great-grandfather, the revered Reb Tzvi Hersh of Liska—the Rebbe shares the rich tapestry of his family’s Chassidic legacy, from Hungary to Boro Park, and how that mesorah continues to guide his life and leadership.

With warmth and sincerity, the Rebbe opens up about his upbringing, the impact of the Holocaust on his family, and his own path through some of America’s greatest yeshivos, including Torah Vodaas, Bais Medrash Elyon, and the yeshiva of Rav Moshe Feinstein. As the Yomim Nora’im approach, the Rebbe also shares Divrei Torah and heartfelt chizuk on teshuva, tefillah, and the meaning of the shofar. His stories—both from personal experience and from the tzaddikim of previous generations—offer clarity, inspiration, and a reminder that true growth begins with sincerity, not complexity.

The Rebbe will be making a special visit to Toms River this week, where he will be meeting with local families, sharing words of inspiration on the upcoming Yom Tov of Rosh Hashana, and offering personal brachos. The Toms River community is warmly invited to join this special gathering on Thursday evening, September 18th, at the home of Reb Shlomo Ehenrthal, located at 2148 Rainbow Way, Toms River.
