For the first time in many years, a special cemetery dedication ceremony was held in Toms River this past week, marking a significant milestone for the community.
The ceremony was attended by numerous rabbanim, community leaders, and residents, who came together for a meaningful and memorable gathering to formally establish the new Jewish cemetery, an important asset for our growing community.
As Toms River and the surrounding areas continue to experience tremendous growth, there has been an increasing need for an additional Jewish cemetery that will serve the community and its families for generations to come.
Chevra Anshei Chesed has worked tirelessly to bring this important project to fruition, ensuring that our community will have access to a dignified and properly established Jewish burial ground.
The new cemetery is located in Toms River, adjacent to the existing older Jewish cemetery, on flat, level land, and will operate under the supervision of local rabbanim.
With the new cemetery now established, burial plots will be available for communities, families, and individuals. A perpetual care fund will also be established to ensure the long-term maintenance and upkeep of the cemetery.
