This week, Achdus Magazine speaks with Toms River resident Eli Corbin, a renowned photographer and lulav expert whose fascinating story begins with his childhood in Tzfas and an extraordinary father whose dedication to Torah and mitzvos shaped his life. What began with 200 special Deri lulavim packed into his father’s car has today grown into an operation overseeing more than 200,000 lulavim each year.
At the same time, a childhood fascination with photography developed into a remarkable career photographing Gedolim, Rebbes, politicians, and some of the Jewish world’s largest events. Eli shares memories of his remarkable father, encounters with Gedolim, the story behind the family lulav business, and his journey from a yeshiva bachur with a disposable camera to a sought-after professional photographer.
