With summer vacation season approaching and many families preparing for trips to camp, the Catskills, and destinations across the region, Chavivim of Ocean County is inviting the community to attend its annual Summer Travel Safety Day on Sunday, June 28.

The event, which will be held at the Westwood Center parking lot from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, is designed to help drivers make sure their vehicles are road-ready before the busy summer travel season gets underway.

Throughout the afternoon, Chavivim volunteers will provide complimentary vehicle safety checks, including inspections of tires, fluids, and other basic maintenance items that can help prevent unexpected breakdowns during long-distance travel.

“Chavivim is always available to assist motorists throughout the year,” said Zisha, chief coordinator of Chavivim of Ocean County. “This event gives families a chance to address potential issues before they leave for vacation and enjoy greater peace of mind while traveling.”

In addition to the vehicle inspections, the event will feature several family-friendly attractions and important safety services. Representatives from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office will be offering free Child ID cards, while certified technicians will conduct child safety seat inspections to ensure that seats are properly installed and meet current safety standards.

Families attending the event can also enjoy refreshments, including hot dogs and ices, along with giveaways and raffles throughout the afternoon.

Organizers encourage all community members to stop by, take advantage of the free services, and bring the entire family for an enjoyable and informative day focused on safety.

The Summer Travel Safety Day will take place on Sunday, June 28, at the Westwood Center parking lot. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
