This week, Achdus Magazine once again sat down with Toms River resident David Abdurachmanov — master pianist, conservatory-trained musician, Carnegie Hall performer, and founder of the Keyhaus Music Academy.

In this interview, David walks us through his journey — from years of demanding conservatory lessons and technical mastery, to the moment he realized that most of the concert world survives not on performances, but on teaching. He speaks openly about what high-level training really looks like from the inside: the theory, the discipline, the pressure, and the search for meaning behind every phrase. He also shares how becoming a father gradually opened the door to composing his own music, allowing him to express himself in a new and personal way.

And at the center of it all stands Keyhaus, his new piano school built on a method he designed to help students progress faster, sound better sooner, and develop real technique without the years of frustration that often hold beginners back. With trained teachers, structured curriculum, and his ongoing oversight, Keyhaus reflects the best of what David has learned — both from the conservatory and from fellow musicians as well. This is David’s story, and the vision behind the world he’s building.
