A few years ago, Achdus Magazine featured Avi Devor and his growing lineup of community programs that were making a real impact across Toms River and beyond. At the time, the spotlight was on his work in physical education, martial arts, and youth development—programs that brought structure, discipline, and confidence to children and teens in the frum community.
Today, we’re excited to catch up once again—not just with Avi, but with his wife Rivkie Devor, a talented artist and educator in her own right. Together, the two run the day-to-day operations of a wide range of creative and physical programming, all built around one shared mission: to empower the next generation through meaningful, skill-based experiences.

From Paint It by Rivkie—a trailblazing art initiative that introduced the concept of painting events to the frum community—to Avi’s dynamic sports and martial arts programs, their efforts continue to grow. Their programs now span from early childhood through high school, and they’ve recently added exciting open to the public event-based offerings for both kids and adults, as well as birthday parties and bas mitzvahs.

What started as a mission to keep their own children active, creative, and engaged blossomed into a multi-faceted community movement—one that’s still evolving. In this exclusive interview, the Devors share how it all began, how their own children have thrived through their programs, and what’s next on the horizon.
